Gasteria is a sculptural succulent grown for its fleshy leaves and distinctive arrangement of foliage. It brings a different texture to a houseplant collection and is an appealing choice for anyone who enjoys observing a plant’s shape rather than relying on a seasonal flower display.

A bright position with filtered light is a useful starting point for the commonly grown Gasteria species. Use a free-draining cactus or succulent compost in a pot with drainage holes. Water moderately during active growth, allowing the compost to dry between waterings, and keep it much drier during the cooler resting period.

This plant is listed at genus level. Leaf markings, mature dimensions and exact temperature requirements depend on its identity, so follow the supplied plant label for those details.
