Sphagnum Moss

Sphagnum moss is a useful growing material for plant projects that need moisture held close to developing roots. It can be used in suitable propagation methods, including air layering, and in specialist growing arrangements chosen to suit the plant.

For dry moss, soak the amount you need, then gently squeeze away excess water before use. Check moisture regularly instead of watering to a fixed timetable. Follow the instructions for your chosen plant and propagation method, keeping the moss damp rather than leaving it in standing water.
