Description
Metasequoia glyptostroboides, the dawn redwood, is a fast-growing deciduous conifer for spacious gardens. Its soft green foliage turns tawny brown in autumn before falling, revealing an upright framework and attractive fibrous bark. This becomes a large specimen tree and needs room to develop. Plant in full sun in humus-rich soil that retains moisture without becoming waterlogged.
